📝 PDF generation with JasperReports

Gosocket generates the PDFs of Brazilian fiscal documents from the approved XML returned by NDD, rendering with JasperReports according to the technical notes and MOC in force for each document type.

NDD remains the fiscal intermediary: it validates, transforms and forwards to SEFAZ or Prefeituras. PDF generation is Gosocket's responsibility.

NF-e (type 55) and CT-e (type 57) — national models

CT-e and NF-e operate exclusively under the national model (SEFAZ). The JasperReports templates follow the technical notes and MOC in force.

Priority order for PDF generation:

1. Custom template (if it exists in Inbox) → applied directly.
2. Standard Gosocket template (JasperReports) → generated from the approved XML returned by NDD.

💡 Templates available in Inbox

The templates are available in the Inbox portal, "Plantillas de Visualización" section. They can be customized through the standard commercial approval process, just like in the rest of the countries.

NFS-e (type 551)

NFS-e has greater complexity because there is no single schema: each municipality can operate on the national environment (SEFAZ) or on its own legacy system (local environment). Gosocket applies the national JasperReports template to both types of municipality.

It defines the content requirements of the DANFSE, including the new taxes of the Brazilian tax reform (CBS and IBS). Correct display of these taxes is mandatory from 08/01/2026. The Gosocket template is NT-008 compliant and applies to both national- and local-environment municipalities.

Priority order for PDF generation:

1. Custom template (if it exists in Inbox) → applied directly.
2. Standard Gosocket template (JasperReports) → NT-008 compliant. Input: approved XML returned by NDD (DPS in the national environment / processed RPS in the local environment).

⚠️ Customizing NFS-e templates

Given the level of technical complexity, customizing templates for NFS-e is not recommended. In Sandbox we recommend issuing a broad batch covering as many scenarios as possible, with emphasis on the correct display of CBS and IBS.

Behavior of key fields (NFS-e)

Field	Behavior
Chave de Acesso da NFS-e	May be empty if the Prefeitura does not provide the key in the approval response. Common in local-environment municipalities.
QR Code	Priority: (1) valid access key → SEFAZ national portal; (2) local PDF URL from the Prefeitura → link to that URL; (3) no condition → blank field.
Código de Tributação Municipal	The description is not included by default; it varies by municipality and is not part of the NT-008 normalized XML.
Local-environment municipalities	The template is identical to the national one. The PDFs include embedded comments highlighting the limitations arising from the RPS format.
Custom template	NT-compliant standard applied by default. Any customization must be handled as a formal requirement via the commercial team and Account Manager.
Bold titles (local compilation)	Known limitation: they may not render in bold when compiled outside the Gosocket/Inbox renderer. In Inbox they are generated correctly.
